Private Post Office Box Conditions of use

1. Subscription fees must be paid annually.
2. The Bahrain Post consent must be obtained in case of assignment of transfer of the post office box to another lessee and upon payment of the services change fees thereof. The assignment and transfer processes may take place by a judgement handed down by the Courts of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
3. The Bahrain Post has the right to request an authorization from the lessee when the registered mail is to collected by one of his/its employees.
4. The Bahrain Post has the right to withdraw the post office box if The lessee fails to pay the annual subscription within a period. In this case, the subscriber must hand over the PO Box key to Bahrain Post.
5. The Bahrain Post has the right to take all appropriate measures including cancelling the subscription, in case the subscriber violates any of the provisions related to subscription to the PO BOX .
6. The Bahrain Post is entitled to have recourse against the lessee whose post box has been withdrawn for claiming the rent arrears.
7. Registered mail found in the post office box that was closed for any reason shall be returned after one month in the case of local mail and two months in the case of overseas mail.
8. The post office box lessee has the right to transfer his mail from one post box to another upon payment of the services change fee or mailing address change fee.
9. The Post office box lease relationship between the Bahrain Post and the lessee shall be terminated upon the lessee’s death. However, his heirs may continue to use the box or otherwise assign it in favor of one of their number by virtue of a notarized declaration.
